For a service-based entrepreneur visibility is key to build an audience, a list, a following and to get clients. If you are not visible, you have very little chance of building a sustainable business.
Well, if you think about it, it is the same for a brick-and-mortar business as well. There we would see visibility as location, location, location. Location referring to the physical location of the shop, advertising in the relevant media as well as other ways to attract ideal clients.
Visibility means to be seen by your ideal clients and when the right offer is placed in front of your ideal client at the right time, they buy.
Effective visibility is measured in what you get back from what you put out. In other words the value that you give in order to receive the interest of fans and potential clients that lead them to get to know you, like you, trust you and buy from you.
So, what does it take to be effectively visible so that you attract your ideal clients?
Know who your ideal clients are
It’s obvious that in order to be visible to your ideal clients is to know who they are. You want to be visible in such a way that they see you and hear you. So that they feel you are talking to them as they read your blog or listen to your podcast or watch your video, as I am talking to you now.
This is also reflected in the branding on your website and social media presence. It must connect to your ideal clients so that their senses are immediately alerted to pay attention when they come in contact with your message.
Your branding’s tone of voice is demonstrated in the language in your copy, the colours, font and images you use to portray who you are and what you stand for.
Remember, your mess is your message and your ideal clients are waiting for you. How powerful is that?
Yes it may take time before you connect and attract them in great numbers. This happens when your message is sensory and succinct. It is a process to get there and process in itself is a journey, because you grow into it. As you grow in who you become working with your clients, you become more aware of what you actually help them achieve. And the only way to get there is to start the process.
Know where you are going
To go anywhere, you have to know where you are now. Both these points of attraction are necessary. What you are getting now or attracting now is different from where you want to be. Right?
So to see different results, you have to do something different and you have to be different. In fact, you have to be different in order to do something different.
As everything physical starts with a thought, it makes sense to have a crystal clear image of what your vision or outcome is for becoming visible. Otherwise you won’t have a specific strategy, but mere random acts that’s get you nowhere.
The questions to ask are: where are you going, what do you wish to achieve with your visibility and how do you want to express it?
Your goal or intention to become visible is related to your overall business in terms of building your list, doing promotions, launches or live events for example.
To accelerate your success, is to know the Universal Laws and how to work with them instead of against them.
What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve, as so aptly said by Andrew Carnegie. The key is to have a crystal clear vision that is so aligned with your soul purpose that you easily commit to it and continue to move towards it.
Relationship with Your Self
Your desires are Divinely Inspired. Believe in your ability in helping others, the same a sales person believes in the product they are selling. You need to believe in the product you are selling, that is you, your service, your transformation.
You need to believe that you are good enough, that you are worthy. Refrain from comparing yourself to others because then you move away from co-creating with Source and you move into the competitive mode where you will regard yourself either better than or less than your peers, as Desiderate said.
Comparing yourself to others is a trap for excuses that derail you from your purpose and vision. Excuses of, “I’m too old, I’m not knowledgeable enough, I’m not charismatic enough, I’m too anything”, do nothing to inspire you to become better at your service. And if you may think that you are better than someone else, you may become complacent with similar detrimental consequences.
Remember, we are all here to contribute to the tapestry of life and to make it as beautiful as possible. It does not matter what others do. It only matters what you do and why you do what you do.
It’s about being real and authentic. Do I have it together all the time? No, definitely not. Nobody does.
Desire and Expectation
Desire is linked to your Vision and Expectation is linked to your Relationship with Your Self and connected to your Faith in you and the Universe.
You need a burning desire to make your voice heard. You need a burning desire to follow your soulpurpose and live on purpose and help others with your gifts.
This is probably the biggest lesson I have learned and continue to learn – to know and live the Universal Laws. This is also what I help my clients with, to cultivate a healthy relationships with themselves, with Source and with their Inner Being, all in working with the Universal Laws.
This is the foundation and from here innovation flows as you expand your visibility and your income streams.
